The Kiss Boots Dancers!

Kiss Boooooots! Every time the Band plays Rochester its tradition to have Kiss Boots come up and play a couple tunes, and since he is Kiss Boots what better to play than Kiss!
So it’s the end of the night--last 3 tunes--and so the Band has to decide what to play with the famous Kiss Boots. Now keep in mind the Band doesn’t really rehearse these Kiss tunes; Jay just throws it out there and sees if the rest of the guys pick up on it. When they do, it just spirals into an improv Jam, and you get some great moments like in this clip.
It starts with Love Gun and Kiss Boots, distracted by the Girls dancing on stage, gets a little too happy with his snare drum leading into the guitar solo. That leads us to the tune “She” in which one girl is so frustrated that her dancing partner doesn’t know who sings this tune (let alone I don’t think she knows where she is). The blonde tries to explain to her who it is by chanting “Kiss, Ace, Kiss, Ace.” As the band tries to make it through the tune, the girls start dancing and one gets a little too happy licking. One moment during the tune, another girl runs up on stage and Jay almost whacks her in the head because he didn’t see her coming. That would have been something to capture on film! Always something exciting when the Band comes to Rochester!

New Years Eve at Nola's

The Band played to packed crowd at Nola's in Rochester on New Years Eve Dec 31st 2009. It was a long and eventful night and there were some crazy moments captured on film. They will be released shortly after editing the 3+ hours of footage, but for now here are two clips of the Band. The First clip is a cover of Hells Bells the opening tune of the night.

The Next is a compilation of the various songs throughout the show. The clip starts with tunes from the end of the long night--in Rochester the hours were pushed to 4am, so its a pretty late night for the club to stay open. Girls got up and danced to Van Halen, our good friend Haley got up and sang Poison's Nothin But a Good Time, and there was lots of fog! During the last set Kiss Boots was invited up to play as is tradition, and 2 girls got up and danced and had a wild time (that clip is coming soon). Stay tuned for more from New Years Eve!

That 80's Hair Band Through The Years

Here is a clip of the Band playing throughout the years. From the early start in 2002 and up to recent shows in 2009. The Band has gone through some changes in the years but always kept improving and rocking out. In the next coming weeks there will be stories and more clips from the early days at the Reservoir, Spenders, Jam Room, Steel, etc, and how they started the Metal Mayhem Friday Nights. Who was involved? what was happening at the time? Stay tuned...

Archive Video Released

Found this early clip of the band playing The Steel Music Hall in Rochester NY. The band is playing Ain't Talkin Bout Love and Little Dreamer by Van Halen. It features one of the Kramer 5150 guitars the band use to bring out for shows, and also some past members during its 2002-2003 years. Video was taken secretly by the light tech at the club and resurfaced years later. Very nice clip of the band pretty much starting out in their first couple of years of shows.

Heather from Rock of Love loves our Troops!

October 31st 2009 Halloween show at Macaroons Nite Club in Cheektowaga NY. Heather from the VH1 show Rock of Love with Brett Michaels stopped by and was a little tipsy. Heather jumped on stage with the band and dances to Sweet Child of Mine and Talk Dirty to Me. Also her boob kept making a surpise appearance all night popping out.
Later in the night the band gave away a guitar for best costume and there were many people who entered with very creative costumes. The crowd were the judges and the girl who won (who is not in this clip) was dressed as a bee. The Barbie in the Box costume was very creative and many believed she should have won the prize on the fact alone that of just walking around in a box must have been very uncomfortable, but the crowd had voted. Also in competition were 3 people dressed as US Soliders. They were not in the running but Heather had some nice commentary to add to the contest, including thinking Barbie in the Box was cute then later threatening her! Very Nice!

Part II with Michael Angelo Batio in Rochester!

November 21st 2009 Michael Angelo was doing his clinic at House of Guitars in Rochester NY and the band was playing in town that night. Michael Angelo stops by once again and plays out the night to some awesome 80's tunes. In this clip is another jam between Jason and MAB just having fun. More clips to be added from this night and from the October show soon..

The Haunted Terminal in Buffalo Halloween Show!

October 24th 2009 the band played the Haunted Terminal in Buffalo which included the Rochester Band Johnny Smoke doing their classic 70's set and That 80's Hair Band playing of course the 80's. With barely a sound check the band got up and played a powerful set and later invited Johnny Smoke to come up for a jam. In the clip provided on Youtube the band is playing Back in Black and in another clip is playing Metal Health with people just jumping on stage dancing and in the middle of the tune..
